Salmon is an incredible, lean meat, for those who enjoy the taste of fish. Packed with protein, vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids it is one of the healthiest meats that you can eat. After a tough workout this tasty fish is a great treat and is a perfect way to fill up, without eating some of the bad fats that come with other meats.
After my long day at the gym, my favorite salmon recipe is exactly what I needed to satisfy my hunger, while also being the healthy meal that my body needs to recharge and replenish.
Salmon Filet (Frozen or Fresh)
Half a Lemon
1. Put in enough olive oil to cover the bottom of the pan. Keep stove at slow/medium temperature.
2. Place salmon filet into the pan (with or without skin).
3. Squeeze lemon over salmon, add capers, garlic salt and pepper. Let simmer until the color is a light pink inside and out.
Serve it over rice or pasta for a delicious filling meal. The olive oil, lemon and capers can be poured over the rice/pasta to add all around flavor to the meal.
